Bhubaneswar/Jajpur,Sep 17 : Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahu participated in a blood donation camp organised in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and donated blood voluntarily.
Mr. Sahu also interacted with young party workers and voluntary blood donors at the camp and encouraged them to participate in blood donation and other community service activities.
The campaign has been organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and commemorate what its organisers describe as his 25 years of public service and contribution to nation-building. The initiative seeks to promote a sense of social responsibility, humanitarian service and community participation, organisers said.
BJP state spokesperson Manoj Mahapatra, senior party leader Gautam Ray and Jajpur district BJP president Debajani Pradhan were among those present at the programme.
Addressing participants, Mr. Sahu emphasised the importance of voluntary blood donation, saying that a single unit of blood could help save multiple lives. He appealed to people to rise above political and social differences and contribute to humanitarian causes such as voluntary blood donation.
The MLA said greater public participation in such initiatives would help strengthen the spirit of service and contribute to the broader goals of social welfare and development in Odisha and the country.
