BJP celebrates political victory in Dharmasala as block chairman resigns

Jajpur, Aug  22 : The political dynamics in Dharmasala Block of Jajpur district shifted significantly on Wednesday after the Block Chairman resigned following a no-confidence motion filed against him. The resignation sparked celebrations within the local BJP camp.

Jubilant scenes unfolded in Jharaka and Puri, where BJP workers and party-backed public representatives marked the event as a victory. Jajpur MLA Himanshu Shekhar Sahu also joined the celebrations in Puri. On Thursday afternoon, 75 Sarpanches and Samiti members, led by MLA Sahu, met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the State Guest House.

The following day, they returned to Neulpur and proceeded in a massive bike rally to Jharaka, where a victory celebration was held at the Jaraka Mahotsav Ground. Addressing a large gathering at the event, MLA Himanshu hailed the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the ‘double-engine’ BJP government was ushering in a new era of development in Odisha.

 “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has made significant progress in the last 11 years. Unfortunately, Odisha had lagged behind due to poor implementation of Central schemes by the previous BJD-led government,” the MLA said.

He further emphasized the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling the promises made in its ‘Sankalp Patra’ (election manifesto), stating that development projects are now being implemented across the state. “To achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047, we must also build a Bikashita Odisha.

Thanks to the support of the people, the BJP-led government is working tirelessly to make this vision a reality,” he added. The event also saw a significant political shift, as a large number of BJD supporters officially joined the BJP in the presence of MLA Himanshu. Among Others MP Rabianarayan Behera,Pradip kumar Parida,Rajesh kumar Pal,Jitendra Rout,Upendra Kar and Other BJP Leader were present.
