Bhubaneswar, Oct. 27: The Odisha Janata Congress (OJC) on Tuesday held an organisational meeting at its state office here to review the party’s organisational strength in different wards of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area and chalk out strategies to expand its grassroots presence ahead of the upcoming municipal elections.
OJC president Mohammed Moquim attended the meeting, which was chaired by Bhubaneswar organisational district president Badri Narayan Mohanty. Local leaders and party workers representing different wards of the city participated in the deliberations.
The meeting discussed the party’s organisational position across Bhubaneswar, ways to strengthen its grassroots network and its future course of action. Emphasis was laid on making the organisation more active at the ward level and taking the party’s ideology and programmes to the people.
Addressing the meeting, Moquim said other political parties in Bhubaneswar were not adequately connected with the problems faced by the people. He claimed that the OJC had managed to win the confidence of city residents within a short period.
