MLA Himanshu Sahoo extends a helping hand to toddler battling rare disease

Jajpur/Odisha, Sep 29 : Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo has contributed 5 lakh from his monthly salary towards the treatment of 16-month-old Trisika Ray of Ramapur village under Areikana gram panchayat In Jajpur District, who is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type-2, a rare and serious neuromuscular disorder.

Trisika’s family is facing severe financial difficulties, with the cost of medicines and treatment estimated at around ₹16 crore, according to the family. Mr. Sahoo said the assistance was aimed at supporting the family in its efforts to arrange funds for the child’s treatment.

The family expressed gratitude, saying the support had brought relief and renewed hope in their difficult fight to save their daughter.
