JSW, MoEF promote “Mission Life”to protect environment

Barbil, June 1: JSW Steel has always maintained its philosophy of building sustainable business which are rooted in the community and demonstrate care for the environment. The company’s thrust is on reducing carbon footprint, using renewable energies, and focusing on a regenerative approach to business.
Also, JSW Steel has taken initiatives to support Mission Life drive, initiated by Government of India. In this connection, JSW Steel and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India organized a meet here at Barbil office on May 31, 2023 to promote the drive. A T Mishra, Dy Director General of Forest, MoEF& CC, IRO, Bhubaneswar was the speaker at the event.
Addressing to employees, Mishra said, “A small changes in environmental conscious lifestyle can minimize global warming.Under Mission Life, we need to follow seven steps— save energy, save water, say no to single use plastic, adopt sustainable food system, reduce waste, adopt healthy lifestyle and reduce e-waste to minimize the global warming for better future.”
Mishra invited all employees to practice sustainable lifestyle and contribute in healing the earth.
CSR team of JSW Foundation elaborated the initiatives that have been taken for the conservation of energy. The company promised to practice sustainable activities for the environment.
