Supply department conduct raid at various locations & seized 505 liters of diesel

Khordha, May 16 : On the directions of the Minister & Secretary of Supplies department a team comprising Collector, Khordha , Amrit Ruturaj , Civil Supply Officer, Gyanendriya Mishra Asst.Civil Supply Officer, Bhubaneswar, Balianta and Balipatna Supply Inspectors was formed and raided various petrol pumps & petrol and diesel storage centers in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
During the raid, 505 liters of illegally stored diesel were seized from Niranjan Nayak, Hirapur, Bulu Pradhan, Puran Padhan, Susanta Kumar Choudhury, Dhanhara, Tapan Kumar Sahu, Nuapatna and Ajaya Sahu, Banamalipur.
They did not have any distributor license or certificate from the fire department. They were selling it at a price of ₹ 140 per liter in crowded places for profit. Some of the petrol pumps inspected were found to be out of fuel and were instructed to bring fuel and sell it.
Their distribution companies were recommended for action regarding the deficiencies noted with them. In this raids Assistant Civil Supply Officer, Sunita Behera, Balianta Supply Inspector Alakarani Mallick and Balipatna Supply Inspector Netrananda Behera were present during the raid.
