Labangiri Rath Yatra: Tirupati Panigrahi Performs auspicious ‘Chhera Panhara’

Bhubaneswar: The Ghosha Yatra of Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath was celebrated with grandeur and fervour at the newly constructed Sri Jagannath Temple in Labangiri, near Sundarpada on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the sacred procession and participate in the festivities.

At the invitation of the local residents, Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi, Founder Chairman of the Hitech Group, performed the traditional Chhera Panhara ritual, symbolising humility and devotion before the Lord.

Several local leaders, including Manmath Rautray, Lulu Badjena, Littu Patnaik, and China Bhai, also joined the occasion, adding to the ceremonial spirit of the event.

Thanks to the initiative and support of Dr. Panigrahi, a cluster of temples — Sri Jagannath Temple, Sri Vimala Temple, Sri Laxmi Temple, and Sri Hanuman Temple — have been newly established at Labangiri, offering the local community a vibrant spiritual hub.
