Students Clash with College Administration in Rayagada Over Grievances

Rayagada/ Odisha, Dec 13 : Tension erupted at Ramanaguda College of Rayagada District on [12-12-25] when a group of students, protest against the college administration, raising serious concerns about academic fees and administrative neglect issues on campus.
According to witnesses at the scene, students gathered in front of the administrative block and engaged in heated discussions with senior officials, demanding transparent action on matters affecting their academic experience. The protest grew loud as the students insisted their voices be heard.
“We have repeatedly brought our issues to the notice of the authorities, but no action has been taken,” said, one of the student . “We want accountability and fairness in decisions affecting our education.”
Another student, told We are not against the college — we only want our rights and legitimate concerns addressed immediately.”
The administration, represented by senior faculty and officials, attempted to pacify the students and promised to review their concerns. However, the demonstration continued for several hours before a formal dialogue could begin.
College officials declined to provide detailed comments on the protest but stated that a committee has been formed to look into the grievances and ensure appropriate action. Further statements are expected after the review is completed.

Local residents and parents expressed mixed views. Some supported the students’ right to protest, emphasizing the need for better communication channels between learners and college leadership. Others hoped for a swift resolution so that academic activities could continue without disruption.
