Stay Away From Gambling, Inform Police About Illegal Gambling: IGP Satyajit Nayak

Cuttack/Odisha, Sep 25 : Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Dr Satyajit Nayak has urged people to stay away from gambling and extend cooperation to the police in preventing illegal gambling activities.

 He said gambling not only causes financial losses but can also lead to family disputes, indebtedness and other social problems. People should refrain from gambling themselves and discourage others, particularly young people, from getting involved in such activities, he said. Dr Nayak appealed to citizens to inform the police if they come across gambling dens or illegal gambling activities in their areas.

 Public awareness and cooperation between the police and community can play an important role in curbing such activities, he said. The IGP also called upon parents and community members to encourage young people to pursue education, sports and other constructive activities instead of gambling. “Stay away from gambling, protect your future and inform the police about illegal gambling activities,” Dr Nayak said.
