‘Sampurnata Abhiyan’ felicitation ceremony conducted in Rayagada

Rayagada, August 3: A “Samman Samaroh” facilitation event was held at the District Zilla Parishad Conference Hall in Rayagada to honour officials, block teams, frontline workers and stakeholders who were instrumental in playing a key role in the successful three-month-long Sampurnata Abhiyan campaign across the district.
The event commenced with the inauguration of “Akanksha Haat,” a platform highlighting innovative rural products and community-led creativity. The haat will remain open for seven days. In addition, two unique initiatives—”Selfie Point” and “Hunar Ki Chaap”—were launched to promote community pride and participation.
Officials from the education and nutrition departments were felicitated for achieving 100% coverage and targets in their areas. In particular, Padmapur and Muniguda blocks were specially recognized for reaching full targets in health, nutrition, agriculture, basic infrastructure, and social development, showcasing an inspiring example of effective coordination and collective effort.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sri Applaswamy Kadraka, Hon’ble MLA, Rayagada; Smt. Saraswati Majhi, Chairperson of Zilla Parishad, Rayagada; Sri Sachin Ahna, Divisional Forest Officer; Sri Naveen Chandra Nayak, Additional District Magistrate; and Sri Akshaya Kumar Khemundu, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad. All BDOs and senior officials from various departments were also present, underlining the significance of local recognition for impactful grassroots initiatives.
Frontline workers, aspirational block staff, and the Piramal Foundation team were honoured with awards and certificates for their dedicated contributions. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of tokens of appreciation to individuals and departments for their outstanding performance.
The event reaffirmed a united commitment toward sustainable and inclusive development, driven by strong intent, integrated leadership, and synchronized execution.
