O.P. Jindal School Celebrated Utkal Diwas with Grandeur

Angul, April 1 : Utkal Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festivity in a delightful atmosphere at the O.P. Jindal School campus. At the beginning, the Head of the Odia Department, Sirish Kumar Mishra, highlighted the significance of Utkal Diwas.
The program was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Principal, Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sahu, along with other senior teachers. Floral tributes were offered to the portraits of eminent personalities of Odisha. On this occasion, everyone collectively sang ‘Vande Utkala Janani’, and students presented a captivating Odissi dance performance.
The celebration became vibrant with speeches delivered by students. The speakers emphasized the importance of celebrating Utkal Diwas and shed light on the rich heritage, culture, and traditions of Odisha. A poetry session (Kavi Sammelan) was also organized for the students.
On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sahu, extended his greetings and encouraged students to preserve and uphold the glory and heritage of the land of Utkal. Prizes were distributed to students who excelled in various competitions held during the event.
