Sheikh said around 200-250 Muslim families live in the residential society. He contended that the builder of the residential society provided them a designated space for keeping the goats every year.

This year, though, the builder refused, asking the families to speak to the residential society instead, Sheikh claimed.

He further alleged that the society denied them permission which led him to bring the goats home. Sheikh insisted that he had no plans to sacrificed animals inside the society premises.

The police intervened to settle the dispute and assured members of the society that animal sacrifice wouldn’t be allowed inside the premises per rules. The cops also promised action against Sheikh if he violated the rules.

Sheikh later moved the goats out of the residential society.
