Mines Department in action Mood ; Illegal Sand Mining InJajpur; DDM Leads Raid,  9 Hyvss& 5  excavator Seized

 JAJPUR, FEB 2 : Sand was being looted outside the Pankpal Sand lease area under Danagadi tehsil In  Jajpur district. On receiving the news, Deputy Director of Mines Jayaprakash nayak witnessed the sand looting with his own eyes while diving in Chandikhol on Friday.

 The mining department, along with the police, carried out raid targeting illegal theft outside sand mining, “We seized 9  hyvas , and 5 excavator All the seized vehicles were handed over to the nearby Jakhapur police stations.

Accordingly, penalties were imposed and FIRs were lodged in all the cases.Necessary action will be taken against the miscreants as per law,” Jayaprakash Nayak, the deputy director of mines (minor minerals), Jajpur circle, said.”

In addition to this, the district administration has been requested to impose a prohibitory order under Section 163 of BNNS in and around the illegal sand and soil mining areas. Enforcement efforts are underway and it will continue in the future, focusing on addressing illegal mining activities related to minor minerals in the district,” he added.
