Kuakhia Police Urge Durga Puja Committees to Ensure Peaceful Celebrations

Jajpur/Odisha,Oct  11  : Kuakhia police in Jajpur district have urged Durga Puja committees to celebrate the festival peacefully, maintaining law and order, communal harmony and public safety. Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Kuakhia police station, Sushanta Kumar Sethi, interacted with members of various Durga Puja committees and appealed to them to cooperate with the police in ensuring peaceful celebrations.

Mr. Sethi stressed the importance of maintaining discipline during the festival and asked the organisers to follow the prescribed guidelines for puja celebrations. He urged committee members to ensure proper crowd management, prevent any untoward incidents and remain vigilant against rumours that could disturb peace. He also called upon them to extend cooperation to the police and administration throughout the festival.

The IIC appealed to the public, particularly youths, to celebrate Durga Puja responsibly and uphold the spirit of unity, brotherhood and mutual respect. He emphasised that the cooperation of puja organisers and local residents was essential for ensuring a safe and peaceful festive atmosphere.

Kuakhia police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order during the celebrations and appealed to all stakeholders to work together to ensure that Durga Puja passes off peacefully.
