Janbhagidari Abhiyan – Farthest, First of All-: Make ST community aware about the various govt. schemes,says ADM,Mr.Beura.

Khordha, Odisha , May 18 : As per the directions of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and in collaboration with Department of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste Development, Government of Odisha, Janjatiya Garima Utsav-2026 – Farthest, First of All is going to be celebrated in 16 tribal villages of 6 blocks of khordha district.

The main objective of this week-long program, which will be celebrated between May 18, 2026 and May 25, 2026, is to make the Scheduled Tribe community aware about the various schemes being implemented by the government for their individual and collective development and to include the most vulnerable people in all the schemes.

The program will be held in Chudanga, Dalua, Daspur and Bhagabatipur of Bhubaneswar block, Niladriprasad, Talaborei, Gurpada and Bengarajpalli of Banpur block, Tarakai, Bantala and Berhampura of Khordha block, Binjhagiri, Minichinipatna and Gramdiha of Jatni block, Godipokhari of Begunia block and Haripur village of Bolgarh block. The Block Development Officers have been instructed to make the program a success by ensuring the direct participation of district level officers of various departments and elected representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions, ADM, Pratap Chandra Beura informed the media at a press conference held at the OSWAN Conference Hall of Collectorate , Khordha.

Anganwadi centers or primary schools in these villages have been declared as Aadi Seva Kendras.Govt. employees (anganwadi and ASHA workers, primary school teachers) working in those villages have been declared as Karma Yogi. Similarly, the Block Development Officer’s have been instructed to declare others government employees, educated youths, young women, self-help group members, grassroots tribal leaders, village heads  working in those villages as Adisathi and Adi Sahajogi. It has been decided to take appropriate action regarding how the beneficiaries who have been excluded from various government schemes will be included in the schemes. It has been decided to organize health and Aadhar camps in the above villages. Photos and videos of the meetings, programs and camps held every day will be made available on the website, social media and the portal set up by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, said ADM, Mr.Beura.
