JAJPUR/ODISHA, OCT 10 : The overall development of Jajpur district is my first priority, BJP MP Dr Rabindra Narayan Behera has said, stressing the need to improve connectivity, infrastructure, agriculture, education, tourism and employment opportunities. He said he would continue to raise the district’s concerns in Parliament and coordinate with the State and Central governments to accelerate development.
The proposed Jajpur Road–Dhamra railway link, better irrigation facilities, planned urban development and promotion of Jajpur’s historical, religious and Buddhist heritage are among the key priorities. Dr Behera said development must reach every section of society, particularly farmers, rural communities, traditional artisans and young people seeking employment. He emphasised the importance of strengthening public facilities, supporting traditional Tussar weavers and unlocking the district’s industrial and tourism potential.
He said coordinated efforts by the Centre, the State Government and local representatives were essential to ensure balanced and sustainable growth. “My foremost priority is the development of Jajpur and the welfare of its people. I will continue to pursue the district’s key issues and work towards better infrastructure, connectivity and opportunities for all,” he said.
