Model police bust drug trafficking racket, seize 45 grams brown sugar ,2 held

Khordha,May 4: Acting on intelligence inputs the model police Khordha launched surveillance targeting the illegal narcotics trade.

As per the direction of SP Khordha, under the supervision of SDPO, Khordha Nihar Ranjan Pradhan and IIC Model PS Sanjaya Nayak formed a team headed by SI, Dinesh Kumar Pingua intercepted the suspects in Gurujanga , Dewan Sahi Khordha and nabbed the suspects and seized 45  grams of brown sugar worth ₹4.50 lakhs.

Police identified the accused as Sandhya Rani Behera (26) and Rohan Khan(27) both are the residents of khordha town .In a press meet at Model PS Khordha, SDPO Nihar Ranjan Pradhan, confirmed that the accused are being interrogated to uncover their wider network and supply chain.

The arrests mark a significant success in the fight against naroctics in khordha district. Khordha model police emphasized their commitment to dismantling criminal syndicates and eliminating the brown sugar trade.

Authorities said the arrested individuals will be produced before the judicial court as the investigation continues.

Police urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities related to narcotics.Police assured that informants identities will remain confidential.
