District level poshan pakhwada day celebrated

Khordha/Odisha, Apr 22 : District level poshan pakhwada day was celebrated at the conference hall of collectorate khordha. At the beginning of the meeting, DSWO,Ms. Kusum Kumari Praharaj delivered the welcome speech and in her speech, she emphasized on the five main topics of the Poshan Pakhwada celebration, which are (1) Maternal and Child Nutrition (2) Early Stimulation for Brain Development (0-3 years) (3) Play-Based Education at Early Age (3-6 years) (4) Role of Parents and Community in Reducing Screen Time and (5) Gathering Community Support for a Strong Anganwadi.
The chief guest of the occasion ADM, Pratap Chandra Beura said, main aim and objective of this program is that no mother or child in the district should suffer from malnutrition and called for everyone’s cooperation to make it a success. The event, organized under the chairmanship of DSWO,Ms.Praharaj.
Showcased nutritious food and early childhood care and education related equipment from all child development projects in khordha district. Along with this, a camp was organized for anemia testing. All the POs, CDPOs, Supervisors, Anganwadi workers, Poshan DCDPA, BC, Mamata DPC and media representatives were present in the program. At the end of the event PO, Ms.Soudamini Dash proposed the vote of thanks.
