District administration uproots encroachment on government land

Khordha, Apr 16 : Mahendra Pratap, who is said to be an influential person of a prominent private educational institution in Bhubaneswar, has been encroaching on government land of more than three acres in Khata No-561, Plot No- 2756, Plot No-1732 and Khata No- 563, Plot No- 1696 in Barasahi Mouza under khordha tehsil for a long time.
Today, the khordha district administration has uprooted it. On the orders of the Odisha High Court, under the direct supervision of Tahasildar Khordha Bibhas Ranjan Panigrahi, Additional Tahasildar, D.Gopal Reddy, IIC Model PS, Khordha,Sanjaya Nayak alongwith one platoon police force the eviction was started.
As per the previous arrangements, some local women were deployed to protest the demolition process of the district administration.
The women misbehaved with the Tehsildar present there during the demolition. On receiving information about this, Sub-Collector , Khordha,Sankalp Swastik Sahu reached the spot and asked the protesters present there to obey the orders of the High Court and cooperate with the administration in the demolition process.
As a result, the situation remained calm. Encroacher Mahendra Pratap remain absent during the demolition. After vacate all the encroachment government land it will be handed over to IDCO,said Sub-Collector,Mr.Sahu.
