“Vandaniya Baraputra” Programme Held at Rajendra University

Bolangir/Odisha,April 15 : On the occasion of the celebration of Odia Paksha,the “Vandaniya Baraputra” Programme was held at Rajendra University, Bolangir.

The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Pratap Kumar Das, President of the Postgraduate Council of the university.Distinguished guests present at the event included Sahitya Akademi award-winning writer Mrs. Gayatri Saraf, satirical poet Rasraj Achyuta Purohit, eminent litterateur Tulsi Jain,Controller of Examinations Professor Shyam Bhoi,and the programme coordinator as well as Head of the Department of Odia Language and Literature,Dr.Sushant Kumar Panda.

The guests spoke about the antiquity of the Odia language and highlighted the immortal contributions of the great sons (Baraputras) of Odisha.They also encouraged students to be inspired by the ideals of these  personalities.

At the end of the programme,research scholar Som Mishra delivered the vote of thanks.Students,lecturers,professors,and faculty members of the university participated in the event and made it successful.
