Bhubaneswar: Internationally acclaimed Odissi dancer, teacher and choreographer Lucky Prajna Pratistha Mohanty mesmerised audiences with a riveting solo performance at the Mukteswar Dance Festival in Bhubaneswar.

Renowned for his commanding stage presence, aesthetic clarity and deep adherence to classical tradition, Lucky has emerged as one of the most prominent torch-bearers of Odissi in contemporary times. An ‘A’-grade artiste of Prasar Bharati, he is a distinguished disciple of eminent Odissi guru Padma Shri Kumkum Mohanty.

At Mukteswar, Lucky’s performance reflected a rare synthesis of strength, grace and spiritual depth, unfolding with measured intensity and sculptural precision. Each movement flowed seamlessly into the next, drawing the audience into a meditative realm where rhythm, expression and devotion converged. His nuanced abhinaya, coupled with impeccable footwork and controlled energy, held the spectators in rapt attention, evoking spontaneous applause and moments of awed silence. As the ancient temple complex resonated with classical rhythms, Lucky’s evocative portrayal cast an almost hypnotic spell, reaffirming the timeless power of Odissi to move, elevate and enchant.
