Autism Therapy Centre (ATC) celebrates its Annual Day

Bhubaneswar, Dec.8: The Annual Day Function of the Autism Therapy Centre (ATC), Bhubaneswar, along with the Autism Awareness Day, was celebrated today with veneration and gaiety in the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) Auditorium near Kalinga Hospital Square, Bhubaneswar.The function was attended by the Autistic Children, their Parents, and family members, besides many distinguished dignitaries. Ms Talat Aafreen, Executive Director (P&A), Special Officer & Head CSR OMC Ltd, was the Chief Guest. After the reception of the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests, the auspicious Lamp was lighted to mark the commencement of the function.

The Annual Report presented by the Chairman, MAN Trust, Ms Swarnalata Mishra, enumerated various activities conducted by the ATC. Prominent among them are the Annual Sports Meet, observance of various important National Celebration days and Religious Celebration days, preparation of the ATC Calendar, etc.

The winners of prizes in “Sports Meet” as well as the Debate Competition organised on the theme, “ ‘Awareness’ or ‘Acceptance & Empowerment’ for Autistic Individuals” with a view to creating awareness about Autism in the Society, were awarded prizes in this function. Sri Gautam Panda was awarded the “ATC Champion-2025” prize. Sri Aditya Mohanty performed admirably on a keyboard instrument; the crowd thoroughly appreciated it.

The function was presided over by Sri Madan Mohan Panda, one of the Trustees of MAN Trust,and Prof (Dr) Ranjan Kumar Bal, Member, Executive Body, MAN Trust, rendered the vote of thanks. Autistic Children presented a cultural programme after the meeting.
