District Development Officer Akshaya Kumar Khemundu reviews PM-JANMAN housing works in Kalyansinghpur

Rayagada/Kalyansinghpur, Sept 11: Chief Development-cum-Executive Officer of Rayagada Zilla Parishad, Akshaya Kumar Khemundu, on Thursday visited Kalyansinghpur Panchayat Samiti and reviewed various ongoing development programmes.

Beginning his tour at Parshali Panchayat, Khemundu inspected PM-JANMAN housing construction works in Kadra Kabandali, Panchkudi, Tevipada, and Tamaksila villages. He advised beneficiaries to complete all pending PM-JANMAN houses within the state government’s stipulated deadline of September 30, 2025.

He also highlighted that beneficiaries completing their houses within four months would be eligible for an incentive of Rs 20,000, while those finishing within six months would receive Rs 10,000 from the government. All officials present were urged to ensure timely completion of the housing projects.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of the Parshali Panchayat Executive Officer and the Block Project Assistant (Rural Development), Khemundu directed them to improve their work. He further instructed the Group Development Officer to issue show-cause notices to the concerned staff.

According to official records, a total of 3,608 houses have been completed out of the targeted 7,706, while in the last six months, 2,036 houses belonging to PVTG households have been finished. As per the database , at the Kalyansinghpur block out of 760 target houses as on 11/09/25 146 houses completed.

During the visit, the BDO Kalyansinghpur, PM-RH officials, Rayagada Zilla Parishad representatives, MI, WEO, Panchayat Executive Officer, ADEO, and other officials were present.
