Terrorism a curse to the Human Civilization

CUTTACK, MAY 14 : Thinkers’ Club in it’s 119th Web based meeting discussed on the present status of terrorism in the global context and it’s impact on global progress. This meeting was collaborated with the “Rastriya Hindu Board” and the “Delhi Utkal Asmita”. Major General Atanu Pattanaik, was the chief speaker. Mr Pattanaik shared his experience of the past, especially with the terrorists. According to him, the terrorism at present is a great threat to the global peace. Terrorist activities had affected even the great powers like the USA. The recent incident at Pahalgam was a very serious one. Our Prime Minister Mr Modi had taken the matter seriously and also responded for remedial activities promptly. The strand of India is to wipe Terrorism from the root permanently. It is unfortunate that our neighbor Pakistan is a breeding ground of terrorists. The members present in the meet condemned the activities of Pakistan and blamed the present government of Pakistan. All of them were unanimous to appreciate the action of Prime Minister Modi. It is no doubt that, Modi is counted as world leader in the present time. The meeting was moderated by Sri Barada Prasanna Das, the President of the Thinkers’ Club.
In the beginning, Dr Anita Panda, the President of the Delhi Utkal Asmita Club highlighted about the topic of the meet. She requested all members to actively participate in the meeting and encourage them to discuss on such important topics in future. She along with other dignitaries present decided to write a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India, UNO and the super powers of the world describing the ill effects of terrorism in India.
Sukanta Mohanty from London, Binode Mohanty from Rairangpur, Dr Debashish Panda from Mumbai, Ms Jogini Jogamaya from Kolkata, Madhusudan Mohapatra from Pondicherry, Akhaya Mohanty from USA, Subash Sahoo from Baharin, Dr Nanda Nandan Das from Bhadrakh, Nimai Swain from Bhubaneswar, Senior Journalist, Subash Panigrahi from Sambalpur, Captain Swapan Mishra, Prof Umasankar Misra from Cuttack, Kusha Chandra Sahoo from Rourkela, Bibhudutta Mohanty from Bangalore and many more intellectuals were present in the meet.
Some senior members present in the meet suggested to abolish the rule 30 of the constitution. They also suggested that, it is high time to change the syllabuses of the 3400 Madarasas present in the country. Dr Nibedita Giri suggested eradicating the terrorism menace from the country . she also offered the customary vote of thanks.
The next meeting will be held on Sunday at usual time to discuss about the contribution of DrHarekrushna Mahatab on framing the new Odisha and the modern Odisha. Thr proceedings of this meeting and the earlier meetings can be seen in the U Tube by the interested Members.
