Utkal Sammilani celebrated Utkal Divas, Nayagarh

Nayagarh, Apr 3 : Utkal Diwas celebrated today by Nayagarh District Branch of Utkal Sammilani. From the beginning of the program, young singers Amrita Rath, Sneha Priyadarshini, Ipsita Priyadarshani sang Vande Utkal Janani. Nayagarh MLA Dr. in this program organized under the chairmanship of Utkal Sammilani District Branch President Basiran Bibi.
Arun Kumar Sahu participated as the chief guest and gave analytical discussion about the history and symbolic situation of Odisha. More than 200 students present in this program asked various questions on the geographical situation of Odisha, education system during the British rule, language crisis and what should be the role of students in the development of Odisha.
Nayagarh District Council President Eng. Debashish Patnaik attended as keynote speaker and Educationist Professor Mohammad Omar Mallik and Bharatiya Education Development Institute, Odisha’s Nayagarh District Head Shridhar Sahu also attended and shed light on the different aspects of the struggle of Odisha’s sons in the formation of separate Utkal Pradesh.
Poet Gopinath Sethi coordinated the program while editor Sarat Chandra Acharya gave a welcome speech and thanked at the end of the meeting. Among the various competitions held among the students, Vidyabijita Mohanty in speech, Dharmesh Rawal, Priti Pratibha Dakua in painting, Deepankar Das, Amrita Rath in Desatmbodhak Sangeet, Sneha Priyadarshini won first place in plus three and plus two categories respectively.
All other achievement participants were awarded. On this occasion, Poet Sudarshan Pradhan, Khanaprabha Kar, Mamata Manjari Devi, Niranjan Nayak, Prabasini Barad, Santosh Kumar Sahu recited poems based on the history and culture of Odisha in the presence of poetess Nilima Nanda.
