AM/NS India empowering farmers with distribution of Manual Spray Pumps

Paradeep, Nov. 29 : ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), as part of its CSR initiative “SAFAL” project, is bringing positive change in the farming practices in three panchayats of Kujang Block under Jagatsinghpur district.

In a bid to support the farmers in overcoming challenges related to pesticide spraying and watering, 124 manual spray pumps, each with a 16-liter capacity, were distributed among the farmers.  The pumps were distributed in the presence of Shri Debendra Rout, Sarpanch of Nuagarh Panchayat, Shri Tapan Behera, Ward Member, Nuagarh and team members of the SAFAL project.  This intervention will directly benefit 124 farmers to efficiently apply pesticides and water their crops, thereby helping them in crop management and boosting productivity.

This initiative is aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing livelihood opportunities for farmers across 12 villages. By providing these tools, AM/NS India reinforces its commitment to sustainable agriculture and supports the long-term economic well-being of the farming community.
