10 dead, 24 injured after bus catches fire in Maharashtra’s Nashik
NASHIK, OCT 8: At least ten people have died and 24 injured after a bus caught fire in Maharashtra’s Nashik Friday night, said police.
The accident took place on Aurangabad Road around 5 am, when the private bus hit the container and caught fire in a few minutes, an official said.
Injured people have been taken to hospital, as per the police. The private bus, a ‘sleeper’ coach, had around 30 passengers.
“Most of those killed and injured were bus passengers,” an official said.
“We are still trying to ascertain the exact number of deaths with the doctor’s confirmation,” Nashik Police said.
