Vivekananda Jayanti 2025: VISWASS Group celebrates the spirit of youth

Bhubaneswar, Jan. 16: On January 12, 2025, VISWASS Higher Secondary School and VISWASS School & College of Nursing came together to celebrate National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event paid tribute to the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda, while also emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future of our nation. 

The celebration unfolded across two campuses. At the VISWASS Higher Secondary School Campus-I, the event was graced by Swami Maheshtma Nanda (Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission), Dr. Pragyan Ranjan Ghadai (Chairman, VISWASS), Mrs. Nandini Ghadai (Secretary), Prof. A.K. Kar (+2 Principal), and Dr. A.K. Bahinipati (Principal, Paramedical College), who inaugurated the program with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and a tribute to Swami Vivekananda. 

Simultaneously, at the VISWASS School & College of Nursing Campus-II, Mr. Anup Kumar Mohapatra, Deputy Managing Director of SBI, Mumbai, served as the Chief Guest and shared his valuable insights. 

During their speeches, the Chief Guests and the Chairman highlighted the enduring relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy. They underscored how his teachings inspire youth to build self-confidence, overcome obstacles, and achieve their aspirations. Swami Vivekananda’s immortal words, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached,” served as a guiding theme for the day, encouraging students to persevere through challenges and pursue their dreams with determination. 

The celebrations were filled with vibrant student participation in debates, fancy dress, and song competitions, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm. The winners were honored with prizes distributed by the esteemed Chief Guest and Chairman, making the event a memorable occasion for all participants. 

The program concluded on a high note, with the active involvement of faculty, staff members, and students, who collectively ensured the success of this inspiring event.
