Villagers assault cops during raid on ganja plantation

Malkangiri, Jan 8:  Some residents of Rajabandha village under Orkel Police Station in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Saturday attacked police personnel as they raided their ganja farms.

At list three parsons were injured in the attack. The angry ganja cultivators detained a home guard who was accompanying the police team.

After getting information about the confrontation, Chitrakonda Sub-Divisonal Police Officer (SDPO) rushed to the spot and rescued the injured police personnel and the home guard.

The injured police personnel were admitted   to the local Balimela primary health centre.
