Burla, April 25: As part of Autism Awareness Month and under Tata Power’s flagship initiative “Pay Autention”, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) organized a special painting workshop focused on autism awareness.
The event brought together TPWODL volunteers, department heads, and chiefs for an inspiring session led by Ajay Jayaprakash, a talented artist from Kerala. Ajaya introduced participants to Zentangle Art—a calming and structured drawing method that helps individuals, especially those who are with autism, to express themselves and stay focused.
The workshop was more than just an art session, it was a meaningful experience that allowed participants to connect with the world of autism in a creative and empathetic manner. Volunteers enthusiastically took part, creating their own Zentangle pieces while learning how art can be a powerful tool for communication and healing.
Adding to the emotional depth of the event, two employees from TPWODL shared their personal stories as parents of autistic children. Their heartfelt experiences gave everyone a deeper understanding of the challenges and strengths within the autism community.
Through this workshop, TPWODL reaffirmed its commitment for inclusion and empathy. The message was clear: people with autism are not a burden rather they are individuals with unique talents, insights, and strength.
TPWODL will continue its efforts to spread awareness and build a more compassionate, understanding in the society on autism.
