TPSODL and MKCG Medical College Join Hands to Collect 118 Units of Blood

Berhampur, May 15 : To mark World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, TPSODL (TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited), in collaboration with MKCG Medical College & Hospital and SOCH – A voluntary Organisations of MKCG MCH students, organized a blood donation camp at the premises of MKCG Medical College, Berhampur.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Suchitra Das, Dean of MKCG Medical College & Hospital, in the presence of senior medical professionals, TPSODL employees, and enthusiastic medical students. The camp reflected true community spirit, bringing together people from different walks of life for a common cause – to save lives.

In total, 118 units of blood were collected, which will go a long way in supporting emergency needs and critical care services in hospitals. This noble initiative witnessed active participation from TPSODL employees, medical students, doctors, and volunteers who came forward with selfless intent and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, said, “Blood donation is a profound act of service to humanity. It is our collective duty to support each other in times of need. At TPSODL, we are proud to stand for such causes that foster compassion, save lives, and strengthen the fabric of our community.”

Dr. Suchitra Das also appreciated the initiative and encouraged the youth and healthcare workers to continue their support for such events. Through these activities, TPSODL aims to establish a culture of empathy, volunteerism, and social solidarity among its employees and the community at large.
