TPCODL honored in Kolkata for outstanding work towards energy conservation

Bhubaneswar, Jan.5 : TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and Government of Odisha, has been awarded a prestigious 4-Star rating at the Energy Conservation Award (ENCON) 2024, hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Eastern Region. The award recognizes organizations in the region that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to energy conservation and sustainability.
The ENCON forums aim to honour energy efficiency initiatives and nature-positive practices across industries. The evaluation process involved multiple stages, including the submission of detailed applications, a desktop assessment and a final round of presentations to a distinguished jury from both industry and academia. The final assessment culminated in the award ceremony held at the CII Energy Conclave 2024 in Kolkata, where 62 teams from the manufacturing and services sectors competed.
TPCODL competed with leading organizations such as ITC Limited, Aditya Birla Group, CESC Limited, IFFCO, Exide Industries, Jindal Steels, Tata Power Jojobera, NALCO, Tata BlueScope Steel, RAMCO Cements, Tata Steel and others. Their efforts in energy-saving and decarbonization were showcased during the final presentation rounds.
This milestone reinforces TPCODL’s dedication to contributing to a greener and more energy-efficient future, aligning with global sustainability goals.
