Tata Steel , Kalinganagar Police Jointly Launch ‘Monsoon Road and Health Safety’ Campaign

Kalinganagar, Aug. 11 : To reinforce monsoon safety awareness road safety culture and cyber security among the community, drivers and employees, Security Department Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK), in collaboration with the Kalinganagar Police, has launched a three-day ‘Monsoon Road and Health Safety’ and ‘Cyber Security’ Awareness Campaign at Tata Steel Kalinganagar’s Main Gate No 1 in Duburi on Tuesday.

The campaign was formally launched by Suprasanna Mallick, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kalinganagar and Prakash Kumar Sahoo, Inspector-In-Charge, Kalinganagar Police Station in the presence of Prakash Sanjay, Chief Security, Tata Steel Kalinganagar and Tata Steel Meramandali; Ravi Marik, Chief Corporate Services, TSK; and other senior officials of TSK.

The initiative is focused on mitigating risks that arise due to the challenging road conditions posed by heavy rains. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of road safety and health safety measures during the monsoon season, alongside cyber security aspects which were also highlighted. During the campaign, four-wheeler drivers were sensitised on the importance of wearing seat belts, while two-wheeler riders and pillion riders were encouraged to wear helmets at all times. Leaflets outlining key precautions for road safety and cyber security were also distributed on the occasion.

 As part of the launch event, ‘Nukkad Nataks’ were also organised to educate the audience on the significance of vehicle safety during the monsoon season.

Additionally, the campaign draws attention to prevalent cyber threats such as phishing attacks, malware infections, ransomware, and data breaches. Leaflets on recognising suspicious links, securing personal credentials, and incidents reporting were disseminated as part of the event.
