Jajpur: Ritik Baral wins a gold medal in karate

Jajpur, May 23:  Ritik Roshan Baral (Badachana in Jajpur district)  has won the gold medal at the East India Karate Championships organized by Utkal Karate School in Bhubaneswar.

More than 2,000 contestants from all over India participated in various categories of the competition. Hrithik Roshan won the junior category (16 to 18 years) in the 76kg category, beating 80 competitors. Hansi Premjit Singh, president of the East India Karate Association, presented the gold medal with a certificate to Ritwik at the award ceremony. Hrithik Roshan is overjoyed at his success.

MLA Amar Prasad Shatapathy, writer Taraprasad Mishra, social worker Mohan Moharana, engnieer Arun Pattnaik and others  congratulated him and wished him a bright future.

Hrithik, a plus two science student, had previously won first place in the national and state karate competitions.
