Odisha School Hosts State-Level Science Talent Search, Encourages Future Innovators

Bhubaneswar, Dec. 21: VISWASS Higher Secondary School, Pitapalli in Odisha’s Khordha district successfully conducted the State Level Science Talent Search Examination (SLSTSE) 2025 on December 7, marking a significant initiative to promote scientific aptitude among school students.
The examination witnessed the participation of around 500 students from multiple districts across Odisha, reflecting growing interest in science and technology education at the grassroots level. Held at the VISWASS campus, the competitive test aimed to identify young talents with a strong inclination towards scientific thinking and innovation, and to provide them a platform for academic encouragement and future growth.
The top performers of the examination were felicitated at a grand award ceremony organised on the school premises. The winners of the State Level Science Talent Search Examination 2025 were: First Prize: Shri Sidhi Shekhar Chhotray, B.J.B Government High School, Khordha, Second Prize: Shri Jyoti Prakash Sahu, Government Boys’ High School, Unit-8, Third Prize: Shri Satyam Bisoi, Government Boys’ High School
The winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates and gift kits in recognition of their academic excellence and scientific potential.
The award ceremony was graced by Dr. Prajnan Ranjan Ghadei, Managing Director of Utkal Hospital, and Dr. Nandini Ghadei, Secretary of the institution, who encouraged students to pursue scientific learning and innovation to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The entire programme was smoothly coordinated by Dr. A.K. Bahinipati, Convener, and Prof. Ashok Kar, Principal of VISWASS Higher Secondary School. The organisers reiterated their commitment to nurturing young scientific minds and strengthening India’s future knowledge base through such competitive academic initiatives.
