Odia Film “Maliput Melodies” Premieres in Jeypore for the First Time – The World Witnesses the Magic of Koraputia Talent

Jeypore/ Koraput/Odisha, Sep 19 : The much-awaited Odia film _”Maliput Melodies”_, showcasing the beauty of Koraput – the heaven of natural beauty, has been released. Its premiere show was held at S.R. Novo Cinema Hall, Jeypore town, Koraput district.
The premiere was graced by the entire cast and crew of the film including technicians, producers, directors, along with many eminent personalities of Jeypore.
The theatre witnessed a huge rush of art-loving audiences from across the district who had come to see the acting talent hidden among the common villagers.
For the first time in the history of Odia cinema, common villagers have acted as artists on the big screen and showcased their magical acting skills.
A Film of Many Firsts & Global Recognition:
Produced under the banner of *Kaustav Dreamworks Studios*, the film has received a *’U/A’ certificate*.
“Maliput Melodies” is the *only Odia film* to have been selected and screened in the *Indian Panorama – Feature Film category at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) – 2025 held in Goa.* The film not only depicts a true picture of life and struggle but also shows the world the beautiful Koraput of Odisha. The audience was mesmerized seeing the art hidden within the simple people living in the forest-covered region. The film won hearts and garnered immense praise and love from the audience at IFFI.

Amazingly, there are no known faces from the cine world in the film. *75% of the artists are talented villagers and the remaining 25% are theatre artists.*
Apart from that, the film’s songs, music, story, dialogues, screenplay and the lively acting of the artists are extremely heart-touching, wonderful and of high quality. The audience also gets to enjoy a virtual tour of the entire Koraput through the film.
