OD 2.0 – Trekking Expedition at Mahendragiri Unites All Four Tata Power Odisha DISCOMs

Berhampur, Nov.16 : TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has commenced OD 2.0 – Trekking, a two-day adventure and expedition at the majestic Mahendragiri hills in Gajapati district. The expedition, which began today and will conclude tomorrow, has brought together 45 participants from across Odisha’s four Tata Power DISCOMs — TPSODL, TPNODL, TPCODL and TPWODL. Each DISCOM has nominated 10 participants, and 5 members from the sports teams, making it a vibrant and diverse delegation.
The first day of the expedition featured a 5-km trekking trail, followed by briefing sessions for tomorrow’s rappelling and rock-climbing activities. OD 2.0 has been designed to foster endurance, teamwork, situational awareness, fitness culture, and cross-company collaboration. Mahendragiri’s rugged landscape and tranquil climate provided the perfect setting for participants to test their strength, agility, and leadership skills.
The event was jointly flagged off by the CEOs of all four Tata Power Odisha DISCOMs – Mr. Gajanan Kale, Chief – Odisha Distribution Business & CEO – TPNODL, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO – TPSODL, Mr. Arvind Singh, CEO – TPCODL and Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO – TPWODL, reaffirming their shared commitment to employee development, wellness, and inter-DISCOM bonding. Senior leadership members are accompanying teams during the expedition, guiding participants and encouraging them through the challenging terrain.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, said: ‘OD 2.0 is not just an adventure activity — it is a celebration of teamwork, courage and collaboration across our Odisha DISCOM family. Throughout the two-day event, participants are engaging in adventure activities, peer learning experiences, interaction with local guides, and reflective discussions on leadership in challenging environments. The initiative is fostering camaraderie and collaboration among officers across the four DISCOMs, paving the way for enhanced teamwork and operational excellence.
