O. P. Jindal School Organises Annual Athletic Meet 2025-26

Angul, Dec.6 : O. P. Jindal School organised its Annual Athletic Meet 2025-26 at the Sports Complex, Jindal Nagar, Angul, with great enthusiasm and participation.

Mr. Pankaj Malhan, Executive Director (I/c), Jindal Steel, Angul, attended the valedictory ceremony as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Damodar Mittal, Executive Director (Projects & Iron Zone), graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Both emphasised the importance of dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship—qualities that shape true champions and lead them toward success. Smt. Seema Malhan and Smt. Anita Mittal, President of Jindal Mahila Samiti, were also present along with other distinguished guests.

Earlier in the day, Brig. Dinesh Sharma, Head of SFSS, inaugurated the meet and witnessed the School Song, March Past, Torch Lighting, and Oath-Taking Ceremony.

All four Houses—Azad, Raman, Ramanujan, and Sarojini—delivered an impressive March Past under the leadership of their House Captains, School Prefects, and House Masters. Azad House won the Best House in March Past, while Ramanujan House was declared the Best House in Sports.

The Best Athletes in the junior and senior categories were honoured: Nikun Behera and Dibyashree Sahu (Classes 6–8), and Tamojeet Sahu and Riya Dutta (Classes 9–12). Medals were presented to all winners for their exceptional performances.

Vibrant cultural performances and spirited participation in various track and field events added colour and energy to the event.

Principal Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sahu appreciated the collective efforts of students, parents, teachers, and staff in making the Annual Athletic Meet a grand success.
