Nritya Prajna Utsav enthralls audience with Lucky Prajna’s spellbinding performance


Bhubaneswar, July 19: The Nritya Prajna Utsav-2025, organised by the Nritya Prajna Public Charitable Trust, was held at Bhanja Kala Mandap on Saturday evening, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of classical dance lovers.
Padma Shri Guru Smt. Kumkum Mohanty graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included Dr. Chandra Shekhar Hota, Secretary of the Sahitya and Sangeet Natak Akademi; educationist Rabindra Nath Mohanty; senior journalist Sriram Dash; and Lt Col retd.Sonali Rath and Company Secretary Jitendraya Mohanty.
The highlight of the evening was an exceptional Odissi performance by Lucky Prajna Pratisthit Mohanty, who presented the Kalavati Pallavi, choreographed by Padma Shri Guru Kumkum Mohanty. His graceful and intricate movements captivated the audience and earned thunderous applause.
The festival also featured impressive solo performances by Suhag Nalini Das, Bipanchi Das, and Pritisha Mohapatra, each artiste showcasing the depth and elegance of Odissi dance.
Students of the Nritya Prajna students presented group renditions of Mangalacharan and Ahe Neela Shaila, both evoking devotional fervour and showcasing their rigorous training. Dancers from the Bidya Institute performed Nagendra Haraya, a piece that reverberated with rhythm and energy.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Lucky Prajna Pratisthita Mohanty, Chairman of the Nritya Prajna Public Charitable Trust, and Secretary Sasmita Parida. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests, artists, and audience for making the event a grand success.
A remarkable turnout and the audience’s vibrant applause lent an electric atmosphere to the cultural celebration, inspiring performers to deliver their very best on stage.
