While the West has dominated global science and technology, we must remember that our own roots—Vedas, Puranas, and Upanishads—hold immense scientific wisdom, which we have long neglected. At the same time, technological progress must align with sustainability. We buy advanced products but discard them carelessly, harming the environment with hazardous waste like plastic and electronic chips. Industries must innovate responsibly, ensuring that development and environmental conservation go hand in hand for a truly Viksit Bharat.”
On first day, the research works of students of different academic and R&D organizations were presented in a well-organized poser exhibition where scholars explained their works to the visitors one-to-one. Posters were also evaluated for best poster awards.

Historically, our resources were exploited during British rule, but today, we have the opportunity to build a self-reliant Atmanirbhar Bharat. Science and technology are crucial in this journey. Initiatives like the Vigyan Rath, covering Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, have inspired thousands, especially students, to engage in scientific progress. The overwhelming curiosity among people signifies a bright future. To achieve sustainable development, every citizen must contribute to innovation and research.
