Mortal remains of Army jawan arrive in Odisha, CM Mohan Majhi pays tribute

Bhubaneswar, March 31: The mortal remains of Army jawan Raj Kishore Munda, who lost his life in the line of duty in Arunachal Pradesh, arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Monday.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid his final respects to the fallen soldier, a native of Nuagaon village in Keonjhar district, as a ceremonial guard of honor was accorded.
“With deep sorrow, we mourn the loss of Havildar Raj Kishore Munda of the 6th Battalion, Bihar Regiment—a proud son of #Odisha from #Keonjhar. He made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty at Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh,” Majhi shared in a post on X.
Extending his condolences to Munda’s family, the chief minister affirmed that the soldier’s bravery and sacrifice for the nation would always be remembered.
He further announced that Munda’s last rites would be conducted in his native village with full state honors.
According to an army official, Munda tragically lost his life in an accident on March 29 while traveling in a military vehicle carrying arms and ammunition.
