Kerala trans couple who went viral for their maternity photoshoot blessed with a baby
Kerala,Feb 8: Ziya Paval and Zahad Fazil from Kerala left the internet buzzing with their amazing maternity photoshoot a few days ago. In a case that is reportedly the first transman pregnancy in India, Ziya and Zahad garnered tons of congratulatory messages and wishes for a happy future.
Now, the couple are proud parents of a healthy baby who was born in Kozhikode this morning. The baby was born through a Cesarean Section at the medical college hospital. Ziya said that both baby and Zahad are doing well.
Ziya Paval, born as a man transformed into a woman and Zahad, born a woman transformed into a man. Zahad paused the gender transition process midway to fulfill a dream of theirs – becoming parents. Zahad’s breasts were removed as part of the transition process. Zahad will continue the process post delivery.
The couple shared a post and a behind-the-scenes video of their powerful maternity shoot on Instagram.
Although I did not become a woman by birth or by my body, I knew the femininity in me as long as I grew up, but a dream that I had inside me “Mother”….. Desires are known,” Ziya wrote in the caption.
Ziya thanked their family members as well as the doctor who supported and guided the couple through the pregnancy.
