JSW Steel Odisha Marks 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour

Barbil, Jan. 27: JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm across its operational locations in the state. The celebrations underscored the organisation’s strong commitment to nation-building and the constitutional values of India.
On this occasion, flag hoisting was the main highlight, along with a series of cultural programmes organised at Narayanposhi Mines, Nuagaon Mines, Ganua Mines, Jajang Guest House, the Barbil Office, and the Bhubaneswar Office, with active participation from employees, senior leadership, and community representatives.
At Narayanposhi Mines, the National Flag was jointly unfurled by Mr. Prabodha Acharya, Chief Sustainability Officer, JSW Group, and Mr. Prasanna Panda, Odisha Business Head, JSW Steel – Odisha Mining Division. The ceremony was graced by senior leaders, including Mr. Ram Shankar Sharma, Odisha Head of Operations, and Mr. Chittaranjan Bahanipati, Odisha HR Head, along with other senior officials.
Addressing the gathering, Odisha Business Head Mr Panda extended warm Republic Day greetings to all employees and stakeholders. He underscored the organisation’s strong commitment to community welfare. He informed the gathering that a modern 100‑bed hospital is currently being constructed in Koida to further strengthen and enhance healthcare services in the region.
Meanwhile, Mr. Acharya highlighted the significance of upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution and reaffirmed JSW Steel’s contribution to India’s industrial development and sustainable future. He noted that Republic Day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to promote equality, unity, and progress.
The celebrations also featured cultural performances, community engagement activities, and the felicitation of security personnel and frontline teams in recognition of their dedicated service.
JSW Steel Odisha reiterated its commitment to the socio-economic development of the region and to contributing to the nation’s growth through responsible mining, sustainable practices, and community welfare initiatives.
