Jio solidifies No. 1 position in Odisha, adds over 2.72 lakh mobile subscribers in June: TRAI Data

Bhubaneswar: Further fortifying its No. 1 position as the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha, Reliance Jio added over 2.72 lakh mobile subscribers in June 2024, revealed the latest telecom subscriber data published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). With this, the total number of mobile subscribers on the Jio network in Odisha surpassed 1.57 crores as of June 30, 2024. The overall industry mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by 2.97 lakhs in June 2024, taking the total number of mobile subscribers in the state to 3.42 crores. Both BSNL and VI lost thousands of subscribers during this period.

In the wireline segment, Jio also bolstered its No. 1 position in Odisha, becoming the state’s first and only service provider to cross the 3 lakh wireline subscribers’ mark. Driving digital inclusion across Odisha, Reliance Jio has connected over 3 lakh houses in the state with high-speed broadband and world-class home entertainment through its fast-expanding JioFiber and Jio AirFiber services.

Nationally, Jio added over 19 lakh subscribers in June, taking the total number of mobile subscribers on the pan-India Jio Network to over 47.65 crores. This further consolidates its position as the country’s No. 1 digital service provider.

Reliance Jio has been Odisha’s most preferred digital service provider, with over 46% subscriber market share and 52% revenue market share. The rapid and continuous rise in the number of Jio subscribers in the state has been fuelled by its expansive 4G and 5G network presence.
