International conference on advances in nanomedicine held at KIIT University

Bhubaneswar,Feb.23 : The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT-DU) recently hosted the International Conference on Recent Advances in Nanomedicine, providing a global platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The conference brought together over 500 participants, including researchers, students, medical professionals, social scientists, and startups. Esteemed keynote speakers from the USA, Switzerland, Spain, India, Germany, Argentina, France, Ireland, and Australia shared insights into cutting-edge developments in nanotechnology-based diagnostics, imaging, and therapeutics.
Jointly organized by the Precision Nanomedicine Journal (USA), the School of Biotechnology, and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) of KIIT University, along with Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) ,an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India ,the conference emphasized the role of scientific and entrepreneurial innovations in creating affordable, scalable, and sustainable healthcare solutions.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Patrick Hunziker, President of the International Society for Nanomedicine, University Hospital Basel, Switzerland, and Prof. Lajos P. Balogh, Editor-in-Chief of Precision Nanomedicine (PRNANO), USA. Prof. Mrutyunjay Suar, Director General of Research & Innovation at KIIT University and CEO of KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIITTBI), delivered the welcome address.
Students from across India actively participated, showcasing research through poster presentations and innovative idea pitches. Selected breakthrough innovations will receive incubation support at KIITTBI for further development.
Reaffirming their commitment to advancing the science and technology ecosystem, KIIT University and BCKIC aim to foster global collaborations through such initiatives. Dr. Namrata Misra, CEO of BCKIC, proposed the vote of thanks, highlighting the conference’s role in strengthening international research partnerships.
