India records 6,050 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, health minister to chair high-level meet today

NEW DELHI,APR 7 : India on Friday reported 6.050 new Covid-19 cases, the health ministry data stated. The country witnessed a hike of 13 per cent in coronavirus cases than yesterday.

According to the health ministry data, India reported 14 more fatalities due to the virus. The total death count stands at 5,30,943. The number of discharged people stood at 4,41,85,858 as per data shared by the ministry on Friday.

Amid the rise in the Covid cases, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a high-level meeting today.

The daily positivity rate is pegged at 3.39 per cent while the weekly positivity rate stands at 3.02 per cent, the ministry said.
