FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025: Gymnasts of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance inTeam India

Bhubaneswar, Mar 10: Four gymnasts of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC) are representing Team India in the prestigious FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025 series.Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswarnath Dasare representing India in the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category while Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajputare representingin the Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category. The selected gymnasts have showcased remarkable talent, perseverance, and dedication earning their spot in the National team.

In the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category,Tapan Mohantycleared the qualifying round and stood at eighth position in the finals with a score of 8.933 in the Floor Exercise/ Still Rings eventheld in Baku, Azerbaijan from March 6 to 9, 2025. The Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category will be held in Antalya, Turkiye from March 20 to 23, 2025 wherePranati Nayakand Karishma Rajput will becompeting in Vaultand Balance Beam respectively.

Notably, the Sports Authority of India has organised a National Gymnastics Coaching Camp at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, from February 26 to March 31, 2025.It is a matter of great pride that Shri Ashok Mishra, the Chief Coach of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre, isappointed as the Chief Coach for MAG. Additionally, Coach Shinoj Muliyil from the HPC isappointed as the Coach for WAG for the National Coaching Camp.

These achievements highlight the world-class training and holistic development provided at the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics HPC, which continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and elevating the sport ofgymnastics in India.

AM/NS India operates these activities under its CSR initiative ‘Udaan’ and aims to train 360 sportspeople every year with world-class coaching by international and national gymnastics coaches.
