Emami Paper Mills appoints Sushil Kumar Khetan as CEO

Balasore, Sept. 6: Emami Paper Mills has appointed Sushil Kumar Khetan as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective September 2, 2025. Mr. Vivek Chawla has stepped down from his CEO role but will continue to serve as a Whole-time Director of the company.
Mr. Khetan is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 37 years of extensive experience across paper mill operations, paper and paperboard projects, finance, and management accounting. He brings a broad expertise spanning strategy, business development, legal and taxation, commercial operations, costing, internal controls, human resources, information technology, corporate social responsibility, and other allied functions.
A proven strategist, Mr. Khetan has consistently demonstrated excellence in business decision-making and identifying key ROI drivers. In his previous role, he successfully led operations at an integrated wood- and agro-based paper mill, overseeing large-scale projects and Advanced Process Control (APC) initiatives. His leadership drove transformational initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency, strengthened competitiveness, and supported sustained profitability growth.
Known for his analytical acumen and strong relationship management skills, Mr. Khetan is recognized for improving operations, accelerating business growth, and maximizing profitability through cost optimization, productivity enhancement, and financial discipline.
