DCW chief Swati Maliwal molested, dragged by drunk driver

NEW DELHI,JAN 19 : Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal was allegedly molested and dragged for 10-15 meters by a drunk driver after her hand got stuck in his car’s window around 3 am on Thursday. The 47-year-old driver has been arrested.

As per the police, the driver, identified as Harish Chandra, suddenly pulled up the glass window when Maliwal was reprimanding him for asking her to sit in his car.

The man drove off but then took a U-turn and returned, taking the narrow parallel lane.

When he tried to force her into the car, she reached for the window to catch him. However, he allegedly pulled up the window, trapping her hand.

This comes weeks after the Kanjhawala hit-and-drag case, where 20-year-old Anjali Singh was dragged by a car for 12 kilometres.
