Centre for Social Research Professionals (CSRP) – A unique platform for PhD. Scholars, researchers

Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14: Centre for Social Research Professionals (CSRP), a platform launched recently in Odisha capital Bhubaneswar to provide support to the PhD scholars, and working professionals, aspiring to attain a higher academic doctoral degree in the thematic area of social sciences, is now making waves in the state. PhD aspirants and researchers have started seeing it as a reliable platform to get enrolled with to achieve their cherished dream.

The Centre, first of its kind in Odisha, is providing technical support, services and solutions to the academic scholars and working professionals.

The services this centre offers include conducting discussions and extending guidance in conceptualizing research topics, support in designing academic research proposals, helping articulate indicators and choose tools appropriate for the research study, designing methodology, facilitate and undertake collection of both qualitative and quantitative data, analyse primary and secondary data and provide technical support for thesis/ research report writing, manuscript drafting and publications in peer reviewed journals. Basically ‘mentoring’ the scholars/ students at each step of the journey of the PhD study.

The centre is promoted and managed by a group of social scientists, development practitioners, academicians and research professionals, possessing extensive experience in field research, teaching, mentoring and counselling of students and publications..

“I know many scholars who are in their mid-way of the PhD journey, struggling to accomplish due to lack or right guidance and are on the verge of giving up the studies. This initiative of CSRP to mentor and support the scholars by taking their parent institutions/universities into confidence, is very innovative and can rescue such students from the burden of stress”, says Bibhuti Bhusan Mohapatra, Professor in dept. of economics, Maharaja Agrasen College, Delhi University.
